Developing your Data Doctors Service Center(s)

Data Doctors is relatively unusual in the computer services industry, in that we don't run the business out of a truck or from an office park. We seek to locate Data Doctors Service Centers in visible and accessible retail locations that will be convenient for both residential and business customers. To assist you in successfully locating and selecting such a site, soon after you become a Data Doctors Franchisee we will visit you in your market to begin your training. And once you have found a location, we will help you assess and approve it, assist you with lease negotiations, and work closely with you and oversee the design and construction of your Data Doctors Service Center.

Training

Our commitment to training is unmatched in the industry. No other franchised computer service company provides three phases of training before you service your first customer. It costs a bit more, but in the services business you are only as good as your training. When you're dealing with customers who have sensitive business data at risk, or priceless family photos they are trying to retrieve, 'adequate' training just isn't adequate.

Phase I

We begin by traveling to meet you in your market, to help you get your real estate search and store development process off to a rapid start. Where most companies will provide classroom training at headquarters or often just a store development manual, we know that nothing will get you started faster or more successfully than us spending time with you, in your market.

Phase II

Once you have leased your store location and have set a tentative opening date, we'll schedule 11 days of formal training based in Tempe, Arizona. There will be in-depth classroom work, as well as 'on the job training' in one of our corporate stores. We'll cover topics ranging from computer service processes and protocols, to managing your staff of computer technicians, to advertising and marketing in your local market, to name just a few elements of our curriculum (our Franchise Disclosure Document has a detailed explanation of our training curriculum).

Phase III

One week prior to opening, we will deploy a Data Doctors specialist to your store to assist you in training and preparing for your store opening. This Data Doctors corporate representative will stay with you for the pre-opening week and one week after opening to make sure that you and your staff are able to expertly handle your first customers - setting you on a path to developing an exemplary reputation in your community. As the saying goes, 'You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.' We want your first customers to rave about your business, and then tell their friends.

Grand Opening

It's important that you launch your new Data Doctors Service Center with a splash, so Data Doctors has developed a 90 day Grand Opening program that starts 30 days prior to opening and concludes 60 days after opening. As much as 10% or more of your total investment to open your Data Doctors Service Center will be dedicated to this Grand Opening program, where many other franchise systems only suggest 1-2%. You're making a significant investment of time and money in Data Doctors, and we want to make sure that your community knows that you have arrived and are ready to serve them.

Ongoing Support

Data Doctors will keep you up to date on developments in the ever-changing computer industry. Whether it's a new computer virus afflicting your customers, or an update to a major operating system, Data Doctors will keep you one step ahead. Data Doctors field service representatives will visit you in your market to provide follow-up training and advice on store operations, and you will periodically travel to Tempe, Arizona for annual conferences and special events. When it comes to building your business, our development of media - everything from direct mail pieces to weekly newsletters to targeted emails - will keep you 'top of mind' with your customers.
