Requirements

Financial

Per our Franchise Disclosure Document ('FDD') that is mandated by the federal government, the investment range for a single Data Doctors Service center is estimated to be between $122,065 to $178,415. This covers expenses such as lease deposits, store construction, fixtures and equipment, headquarters and on-site training, grand opening promotions, franchise fees, working capital, and various other items. (Please consult the FDD for a full breakdown and description of costs.)

While we do not provide financing to franchisees, we maintain relationships with several leading franchise finance companies that can assist you. In general, you should have at least $50,000 in liquid assets, and sufficient assets to finance the rest.

Personal

  1. Any serious business requires tremendous commitment and personal dedication, and Data Doctors is no exception. Whether you are running your first Data Doctors location or several, you should expect long hours and hard work as you build a business for the long term. Like most things in life, you get out of it what you put into it, and the more effort you put into building your business, the more valuable it is likely to be. Remember that with Data Doctors, your hard work leverages 20 years of our experience and commitment to excellence in the computer services industry.
  2. You don't need to be a technology expert to own a Data Doctors, but you should feel comfortable around computers and you should be prepared to hire staff members who do have sufficient computer expertise to fully leverage the technology training systems that Data Doctors has spent years refining.
  3. We're 'Data Doctors', and like medical doctors, the quality of your 'bedside manner' matters. You need to enjoy working with people - some of whom will become lifelong friends when you save them from a computer disaster. We're in the service business, and your ability to provide excellent customer service will be an important determinant of your success.
